Fenland Junior Newsletter – March 2013

Junior club will continue as normal, until Summer half term  (last session May 31st )  Thanks to Calum for all his help.

Congratulations to all those who played in our county league teams  – all of whom established themselves, or moved upwards a significant number of places on the county ladder. Our first team won Division III for Under 15 players and our very young second team (Oldest player 9 years old) performed well in Division IV for Under 11 players.

Under 11 team :  L-R   Ewan Desborough, William Pledger, Matthew Story and Phillip Considine.

Under 15 team and reserves:

Back – Hannah Gingell, Calum Cleland

Front – Peter Hill, Jamie Tipple

Individual photo- Number 1 Under 15 Player – Nick Whyatt

The next major event is the End Of Season Tournament at Cambridge SC.  Entry forms available from me.

The Fenland Club Junior Championships draw is on the board so make sure you play the matches as soon as you can.  There are also trophies for most improved player of the year and club player of the year (the player who has attended most sessions and worked hard at their squash) so please let me know if you have suggestions.

I am available during the summer term for more intensive coaching sessions – either individual or 2/3 players –

cost £5 /40 minute individual session including lights (reduced cost if 2/3 players)  These can be one off sessions or on a regular basis.

I am also very keen to increase the number of primary students playing, so please ask them along if you think they may be interested in playing.  First session is free.
